A Bluesy Chord Progression
Had some tech problems and couldn't post for a bit. Anyway, despite not being a fan of jam bands, at practice last night, we hooked into a long jam. We played an A blues, A7 | D7 | A7 | E7 D7 | A7 | E7, type of thing. Then, the point of this note, we started on a more fluid jam. When I got home I put this into Band in a Box and spent around an hour jamming again.
Here's the new progression. Since this was my invention, I'm especially happy with it. At first is was just the first variation then I added the more elaborate turn around.You can play Am7 instead of C6. E7#9 | Am | E7#9 | C6 | E7#9 | Am | E7#9 | C6 | F7 | E7 | E7#9 | Am | E7#9 | C6 | E7#9 | Am | E7#9 | C6 | Cm7 F7 | Bm7b5 E7 | Here's a link to the Band in a Box file: (http://www.walzguitar.com/resources/Walz-Progression-02.zip) Updated on: 2009 07 24
