Usually, I am a total cheapskate when going to buy something. While waiting for a certain magazine to come out, I picked up a copy of Guitar Techniques (http://www.guitar-techniques.com/) a mag from the UK. Browsing in the story, I saw some things that justified the $15 price. When I got it home though, I was blown away. (If you know me, that is not an easy thing to do.) There is loads of information here. The night I bought it, I jammed on some jazz progressions for an hour instead of sleeping. Besides info, the point of view struck me. For example, I have been used to certain names used as reference. A couple time in this mag I encountered a list, \"influences such as...\" and did not know a name on the list! Anyway, search this out at a book store and see if it appeals to you.
